Our focus on Friday was acceleration. The kids minds were stretched as we figured out how to calculate this awesome idea. We discussed gravity. Have your kids show you that gravity is independent of weight. {Book dropped and crumpled paper}.
Newton's second law was introduced F=m x a [Newton is the unit]. We also did some calculations of this formula.
HOMEWORK:
Mon/Tues: research 2nd 1/2 of Lord Kelvin's life
Wednesday: Acceleration Worksheet {#5 is Extra credit!!, remember to include units}
[Do your best-if you are stumped skip it and we will discuss in class]
Thursday: Vocabulary {deceleration, distance-couple of hints:-)}
