HOMEWORK:
Monday/Tuesday: Create a crossword puzzle with 25 words from this semester.
Wednesday: Make a Bohr Model of the following elements: Al, Ca, C, O (Remember Week 2 we did these with JuJu Be candy)
Thursday: Study for a 10 point quiz and bring in your favorite food (FRIDAY) for scientific testing!!
CLASS RECAP: We introduced acids and bases. We were able to complete a couple of experiments using acids and bases and litmus paper-our red cabbage indicator did not work as well as I would have liked.
For our last class we will be doing a review quiz (10 pts). We will also test some of our favorite foods. We have a shortened class Friday because of the open house-Look forward to seeing parents during this time.

Hey Guys for the Bohr models. Example Al it has an atomic number of 13 therefore a neutral atom would have 13 protons and 13 electron. According to the energy chart I gave you you can place 2 electrons in the first level (now you have 11 electrons left). You can put up to 8 in the second energy level (now you have 3 electrons left). And in the third energy level you can put up to 18 -YOU only need 3 to complete Al. You will do this for each of the elements listed. Just draw on paper the nucleus put the appropriate number of protons in and then draw the energy shells with the different number of electrons. Hope this helps!
