Tornadoes and Mold

MIDDLE SCHOOL:PHYSICAL SCIENCE

Tests were handed back so make sure you take a look at these! We spent the majority of our time analyzing our weather reports. This was a brief glimpse of the job of a meteorologist. We finished notes on module #8 and completed a tornado lab.

MON: Finish your weather report if you haven't already.
TUES/WED: Paper- Tornadoes I would like you to write a one page double spaced paper on tornadoes. Research what causes them, how fast they are, where is their most popular locations, etc. There are also some really cool videos on you tube (heads up the language is questionable on some videos).
THURS: Study for a quiz on Module #8.

HIGH SCHOOL:BIOLOGY

Tests were also returned in Biology. Please take time to review them. We spent the entire class with the microscopes. We were able to observe specimens from SubKingdom Protozoa and Kindgom Fungi.

MON: Start growing mold. I will not provide any more info. please research how to grow mold if necessary. Bring your specimen in on Friday
TUES: Read pgs 123-124. Study Guide #4 pg. 127 #1.
WED: Study Guide #4 pg. 2-23.
THURS: Follow this link, print and complete the worksheet Intro to Euglena. http://www.lessonplansinc.com/science.php/biology/lessonplans/C132/

Have a great week see you Friday!

  1. Mrs. Tyler,
I was just wondering...the mold that we bring in, does it have to be completely moldy, or mostly moldy? I'm really kinda confused, I do have something though, but it's from my fridge...does that count?
