Great second week of Physical Science! First thing we completed a five point quiz-great job!! Next we collected homework and then jumped into reviewing some measuring. We also introduced unit conversions in the metric system. Our lab time was spent in breaking up water molecules. We took insulated copper wire (Copper which is an element) hooked it up to a 9V battery and inserted both ends into water/baking soda mixture. The electricity from the battery broke up the water molecule into its two elements Hydrogen and Oxygen.

Biology: High School
Biology we started class with a great quiz! Handed in homework. Had a brief discussion of the scientific method and hand washing compared to what is found in Numbers 19. The rest of the time in class we focused on introducing the microscope. We completed two labs to familiarize ourselves with the function of a microscope. I have a slide that has the entire Bible. The students really enjoyed finding their favorite verse on the slide.
